This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of the process-engineering translation for new formulas, starting from bench-top gold standard samples and advancing through plant trials, initial production runs, and ongoing enhancements.
β’ Design formulas to ensure manufacturability and identify equipment or process discrepancies before rework is necessary.
β’ Collaborate with formulation teams to establish site-specific process standards and document the engineering rationale behind them.
β’ Develop and uphold process flows, critical parameters, and equipment specifications to ensure smooth transitions between manufacturing sites.
β’ Ensure process continuity when transitioning into steady-state production.
β’ Work alongside New Product Launch teams to verify manufacturing capabilities and pinpoint any gaps prior to launch.
β’ Maintain an overview of process and equipment capabilities throughout the manufacturing network.
β’ Facilitate commercialization timelines by overseeing equipment trials, line trials, and capacity/throughput evaluations.
β’ Offer technical support from the process side to site-facing quality teams and assist with production troubleshooting.
β’ Analyze process performance in relation to sensory and quality objectives.
β’ Detect deviations from established process standards and direct issues to site-facing quality owners.
β’ Assist in root-cause investigations related to out-of-spec results, quality deviations, ingredient failures, or process failures.
β’ Collaborate with manufacturing coverage teams and site-facing quality owners during these investigations.
β’ Cultivate collaborative relationships with co-manufacturer quality, engineering, and operations teams.
β’ Clearly represent RYZEβs process and quality standards while fostering trust with co-manufacturers.
β’ 5β7 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering, formulation scale-up, or a closely related technical role within the food, beverage, or nutritional products sectors.
β’ A background in process or manufacturing engineering specific to food, beverage, or nutritional products.
β’ Significant exposure to formulation scale-up processes (bench β pilot β initial production).
β’ Strong working knowledge of blending and processing equipment, including paddle blenders, V-blenders, ribbon blenders, augers, and packaging lines.
β’ Understanding of ready-to-drink (RTD) products and the impact of equipment variations on formula processing.
β’ Proven ability to establish trust-based relationships with manufacturing partners.
β’ Capable of engaging in direct, challenging conversations when necessary.
β’ Willingness to travel variably to assigned manufacturing sites.
β’ Variable travel to assigned manufacturing sites, coordinated around commercialization and launch milestones.
