📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance related to the analysis of electromagnetic spectrum and telecommunications systems for both terrestrial and space systems that support NASA operations.

• Collaborate with the NASA Spectrum Analysis Center to provide specialized knowledge and analysis for engineering studies on both domestic and international levels.

• Work in partnership with other Agency spectrum organizations to fulfill requirements and mission objectives concerning spectrum allocations, assignments, and coordination.

• Assist the NASA Spectrum Office with domestic spectrum management activities and related meetings.

• Prepare and promote technical contributions for IRAC and its subcommittee meetings.

• Uphold the integrity of NASA's spectrum allocations and missions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory, ideally in an engineering discipline, such as electrical engineering or a related field.

• A minimum of 12–15 years or more of pertinent work experience is essential.

• Proficiency and knowledge of the NTIA and the Interdepartmental Radio Advisory Committee (IRAC), including its subcommittees and ad hoc groups.

• Understanding of U.S. frequency licensing processes, procedures, and automation systems for federal government systems via NTIA as well as for non-federal systems through the FCC.

• Familiarity with the WRC and the policies and procedures within the WRC Study Cycle through the ITU-R, along with ITU governance and structure.

• Experience in spectrum management and knowledge of NASA's spectrum usage that allows for independent action when representing the Agency at domestic and international spectrum management forums.

• Skills in presentation and representation adequate to advocate for the Agency in various domestic and international spectrum management settings.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen to qualify for a government-issued Secret clearance.

• Willingness to travel, if required.
