This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Define and enhance the strategy for enterprise data and analytics architecture, including capability maps and target-state designs.
• Create and sustain multi-year roadmaps that are in alignment with business outcomes, cost optimization, and innovation objectives.
• Establish a data-as-a-product and a platform-centric operating model.
• Design modern data platforms, encompassing cloud-native databases, data lakehouses, streaming, real-time pipelines, and semantic/ontology layers.
• Set standards for data ingestion, transformation, storage, access, and consumption.
• Facilitate self-service analytics, business intelligence, and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Lead the architecture for AI/ML platforms, feature stores, and model lifecycle integration.
• Define a comprehensive enterprise integration strategy that includes APIs, messaging, event streaming, data sharing, and intelligent orchestration.
• Establish best practices for API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, service mesh, and real-time integrations.
• Create reusable integration patterns that span digital channels, core platforms, and data and AI platforms.
• Direct enterprise interoperability architecture, which includes healthcare interoperability, the FHIR ecosystem, and external data exchanges.
• Integrate data governance, quality, lineage, metadata, and stewardship frameworks within architectural designs.
• Ensure that architectures are designed to meet regulatory, privacy, and security requirements.
• Promote innovation in AI/ML, Generative AI, agentic analytics, and intelligent automation.
• Assess emerging technologies such as knowledge graphs, semantic models, and real-time decision-making.
• Oversee proof-of-concepts and pilot projects.
• Create reference architectures, reusable patterns, and enterprise standards.
• Foster alignment across portfolios to minimize duplication and optimize investments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to ensure that architectures are practical, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Enable DataOps, MLOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment for data.
• Support vendor and platform strategy.
• Mentor and provide thought leadership within the architecture and data community.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Over 12 years of experience in enterprise architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms.
• Demonstrated success in defining data and analytics architecture strategies, target states, and roadmaps.
• Extensive experience in large-scale, regulated enterprise environments, such as healthcare or financial services.
• Strong capability to influence senior stakeholders without having direct authority.
• Expertise in modern data platforms, including Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric.
• Proficiency in cloud ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Knowledge of APIs, event-driven architecture, and streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and privacy frameworks.
• Experience in AI/ML and advanced analytics platforms.
• For remote work, a cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed is required.
