IT Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide hands-on Tier 0 and Tier 1 IT support.

• Facilitate employee onboarding, ensuring that new hires have access to the necessary tools and software.

• Oversee the inventory of IT assets, including key fobs and MacBooks.

• Manage the shipping, receiving, and replacement of laptops.

• Assist with the setup of in-office technology.

• Coordinate device repairs with the asset management vendor.

• Assign and troubleshoot hardware and software licenses.

• Utilize AI tools and agents to efficiently resolve routine IT requests.

• Document IT processes and enhance the knowledge base.

• Contribute ideas for workflow and process improvements.

• Provide timely, clear, and friendly internal customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and supporting Mac devices; the environment is entirely Mac-based.

• Familiarity with or proficiency in Google Workspace and workplace productivity tools such as Slack, Notion, and Okta is advantageous.

• A strong interest in IT, demonstrated through professional IT experience or general technical support.

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service abilities.

• Experience with or a keen interest in knowledge management and documentation.

• A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow.

• Experience in a support or customer-facing role is a plus.

• Ability to leverage AI tools to accomplish tasks, supported by examples.

• Must currently reside in Canada and possess legal authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.

• Must be able to work without the need for relocation, visa sponsorship, or third-party/employer-of-record employment.
