Senior Principal Discipline Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Cultivate strong relationships with OEMs in collaboration with Customer/Regional offices through technical proficiency.

• Enhance technical knowledge in the evaluation of intricate ADAS systems.

• Outline system architectures by systematically analyzing System Use Cases.

• Establish and lead cross-domain expert committees.

• Define and assess cross-PL system solutions during complex RFIs/RFQs.

• Conduct benchmarks on systems and E/E topologies.

• Suggest innovative ideas for the Valeo System Roadmap and Strategic Product Planning (SPP).

• Advance the team’s technical skills through line management or functional leadership.

• Mentor teams and critically evaluate technical decisions to ensure engineering excellence.

• Oversee cross-functional R&D projects and coordinate organizations across a global network.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent).

• Extensive experience in developing complex ADAS systems and vehicle E/E architectures.

• Significant contributions leading to successful project awards.

• Experience in developing IVI (Infotainment) products and associated technologies.

• Proven track record in direct management of personnel.

• Established record in leading cross-functional R&D projects.

• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.

• Capability to align organizations and bridge gaps between silos.

• Systems-thinking approach.

• Capacity to create a long-term product vision driven by customer requirements.

• Strong networking abilities across all levels of hierarchy within a global organization.

• Familiarity with Valeo’s current key strategic partners is advantageous.
