Senior Power Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee advanced power system analyses for data centers and mission-critical facilities

• Conduct and interpret short-circuit, load flow, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies independently

• Create, validate, and assess PSCAD models for transient and power quality evaluations

• Utilize SKM and/or ETAP for standard power system analyses

• Assess UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and electrical distribution frameworks for efficiency and reliability

• Formulate protection philosophies, recommend relay settings, and devise arc-flash mitigation strategies

• Collaborate with design teams, vendors, utilities, and commissioning teams to coordinate equipment data, system models, and protection settings

• Draft technical reports, present results, and convey recommendations to clients and project stakeholders

• Evaluate technical analyses and provide mentorship to junior engineers

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in developing and analyzing power system models using PSCAD

• Background in electrical power systems for data centers

• Expertise in using SKM and/or ETAP

• Generally, 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering and analysis

• Experience in independently carrying out intricate power system studies and formulating technically robust recommendations

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication abilities

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

• CFG cannot sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas

• Applicants must reside in states where CFG is authorized to employ
