Senior Portfolio Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of product monitoring across critical areas including credit risk, payments, and usage.

• Create executive dashboards that compare actual performance against forecasts.

• Develop frameworks for forecasting and projecting portfolio metrics.

• Prepare and deliver presentations for executive leadership.

• Conduct ad-hoc root cause and remediation analyses in collaboration with relevant business leaders.

• Assist in simulating portfolio covenants in response to significant risk strategy changes.

• Institutionalize forecasting for card and loan portfolios and establish monitoring for the corporate model.

• Partner with Capital Management, Risk, Finance, Core, Accounting, and other business leaders on analyses and lender negotiation materials.

• Work with engineering and data governance teams to create reliable product tapes for joint partner utilization.

• Develop portfolio loss forecasting and assist with loss provisioning projections for Finance and Accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4 years of relevant analytical experience with a master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.

• Background in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Enthusiastic about learning new technical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong presentation skills.

• Familiarity with Python, R, or SAS.

• Knowledge of Tableau, Sigma, or similar business intelligence tools.

• Skilled in forecasting models, particularly time series forecasting.

• Experience in credit cards, loans, or other financial services.

• A passion for using data to tackle real-world problems.

• Capability to maintain a long-term perspective and see the bigger picture.

• A growth mindset and proactive approach to ownership.

• Ability to implement the 80/20 principle and achieve results.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to Los Angeles and New York as required.
