Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal engineer for hyperscale data center initiatives.

• Design plumbing systems for extensive data center facilities.

• Offer specialized technical insights for studies and designs.

• Review and authorize work deliverables.

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to formulate specifications and design criteria.

• Provide technical expertise for studies and design initiatives.

• Present intricate technical solutions to clients.

• Conduct quality control assessments of work produced by others.

• Engage in the development of technical proposals.

• Estimate engineering budgets and timelines for large projects.

• Occasionally travel for client meetings, significant project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other crucial business activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in building systems engineering, with a focus on plumbing system design for large structures.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.

• Familiarity with relevant local and national building codes.

• Skilled in engineering calculations, spreadsheet management, and report writing.

• Comprehensive background in plumbing project design and execution.

• Openness to travel as necessary.

• Knowledge of sustainable plumbing design and fundamental LEED building practices.

• Preferred 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Preferred Licensed Professional Engineer status.

• Preferred Certification in Plumbing Design (CPD).

• Strong written communication, presentation, and client interaction abilities preferred.

• U.S. employment authorization is required; no sponsorship is available now or in the future.
