Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the lead engineer for hyperscale data center initiatives

• Design plumbing systems tailored for extensive data centers

• Offer specialized technical contributions to studies and designs

• Review and authorize completed work

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to create specifications and design criteria

• Deliver technical expertise for studies and design undertakings

• Convey intricate technical solutions to clients

• Conduct quality control assessments of colleagues’ work

• Engage in the development of technical proposals

• Estimate engineering budgets and timelines for major projects

• Collaborate with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects

• Participate in scheduled site visits, client meetings, project milestones, and onsite collaboration sessions, or other essential business activities

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• Over 6 years of experience in building systems engineering, with a focus on plumbing system design for large structures

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

• Familiarity with relevant local and national building codes

• Expertise in engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing

• Comprehensive background in plumbing project design and execution

• Willingness to travel when necessary

• Understanding of sustainable plumbing design and fundamental LEED building practices

• Preferred: 10+ years of relevant experience

• Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer

• Preferred: Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD)

• Preferred: Strong skills in written communication, presentations, and client interactions

• Must have eligibility to work in the U.S.; sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future
