Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal engineer on hyperscale data center initiatives

• Design plumbing infrastructures for extensive data center facilities

• Offer specialized technical insights for studies and designs

• Review and approve project work

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to establish specifications and design parameters

• Provide technical guidance for studies and design projects

• Present intricate technical solutions to clients

• Conduct quality-control assessments of work produced by others

• Engage in the creation of technical proposals

• Estimate engineering budgets and timelines for large-scale projects

• Partner with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center endeavors

• Participate in occasional site visits, client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other essential business activities

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• Over 6 years of experience in building systems engineering, focusing primarily on plumbing system design for large structures

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

• In-depth understanding of relevant local and national building regulations

• Skilled in engineering calculations, spreadsheet analysis, and report creation

• Comprehensive background in plumbing project design and execution

• Willingness to travel as necessary

• Knowledgeable in sustainable plumbing design and basic LEED building principles

• Professional Engineer license preferred

• Certification in Plumbing Design (CPD) preferred

• Excellent written communication, presentation, and client interaction skills

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future
