Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer – Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal engineer for hyperscale data center initiatives

• Design plumbing systems for extensive data center facilities

• Offer expert technical insights for studies and design projects

• Review and approve work deliverables

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to establish specifications and design standards

• Provide technical guidance for design efforts and studies

• Deliver complex technical solutions to clients

• Conduct quality control assessments of work produced by others

• Engage in the development of technical proposals

• Estimate engineering budgets and timelines for large-scale projects

• Participate in occasional site visits, client discussions, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other vital business engagements

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• Over 6 years of experience in building systems engineering, with a focus on plumbing system design for large structures

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

• Strong understanding of relevant local and national building regulations

• Skilled in engineering calculations, spreadsheet management, and report writing

• Comprehensive experience in plumbing project design and execution

• Willingness to travel as necessary

• Knowledgeable in sustainable plumbing design and fundamental LEED building practices

• Over 10 years of relevant experience is preferred

• Professional Engineer license is preferred

• Certification in Plumbing Design (CPD) is preferred

• Excellent written communication, presentation, and client interaction skills

• Must have authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available now or in the future
