Senior Plumbing Engineer/Designer – Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal engineer for hyperscale data center initiatives

• Design plumbing infrastructures for large-scale data centers

• Offer specialized technical insights for studies and design projects

• Approve and authorize completed work

• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to establish specifications and design parameters

• Provide technical expertise during studies and design processes

• Deliver intricate technical solutions to clients

• Conduct quality control evaluations of work produced by others

• Engage in the development of technical proposals

• Supply engineering budget and scheduling estimates for extensive projects

• Collaborate with global AECOM teams on prestigious data center projects

• Participate in occasional, pre-arranged site visits, client meetings, significant project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other critical business activities

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• Over 6 years of experience in building systems engineering, primarily focused on plumbing system design for large buildings

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software

• Working knowledge of relevant local and national building codes

• Proficiency in engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing

• Comprehensive background in plumbing project design and delivery

• Readiness to travel as needed

• Understanding of sustainable plumbing design and fundamental LEED building practices

• Professional Engineer license preferred

• Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) preferred

• Excellent written communication, presentation, and client interaction skills

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is currently not available
