Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and manage the platform that empowers engineers to deploy safely, swiftly, and autonomously

• Oversee the multi-account AWS framework and Kubernetes (EKS) clusters

• Handle Infrastructure as Code using Terragrunt via pull requests and Atlantis

• Administer deployment and GitOps tools, Helm charts, shared deployment settings, and CI/CD pipelines

• Manage the observability stack for metrics, logs, traces, and alerts

• Establish security and compliance frameworks, including secrets management, access control, PCI DSS, DORA, and NIS2 regulations

• Create internal developer tools, such as AI agents and Claude Code plugins

• Assist in expanding into international markets while ensuring compliance, isolation, and reliability

• Develop autonomous AI agents for infrastructure modifications, support, and incident management

• Formulate strategies for adopting, updating, and securing open-source software

• Scale infrastructure while maintaining consistent baseline costs

• Collaborate with colleagues to implement changes in production

• Take ownership of technical design and manage initiatives from start to finish

• Recognize opportunities, spearhead cross-team projects, and contribute to quarterly planning

• Work closely with product engineering, Security, Data Platform, and Compliance teams

• Designed and operated highly available distributed systems in a production environment

• Experience in managing incidents, conducting post-mortems, and implementing corrective actions

• Demonstrated experience in scaling infrastructure on a global scale

• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform in production settings

• Product-oriented mindset focused on user experience and business results

• Practical experience working with AI agents in everyday engineering tasks

• Ability to identify, prioritize, and take ownership of production issues

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken

• Nice to have: experience in fintech, payments, or regulated sectors such as PCI DSS or DORA

• Nice to have: familiarity with Terragrunt, Atlantis, or GitOps workflows

• Nice to have: scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or a similar language

• Nice to have: experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack, or Tempo

• Nice to have: experience with internal developer platforms or self-service tools

• Nice to have: experience in building AI agents, skills, or engineering automations

• Nice to have: experience in on-call rotation
