Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop an Internal Developer Platform that empowers teams to deploy and manage their applications securely and independently.

• Architect the platform infrastructure in a multi-cloud setting, emphasizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Construct and uphold the Internal Developer Platform utilized by over 50 internal clients.

• Assist teams in effectively utilizing the provided solutions and ensure their successful adoption.

• Engage in bi-weekly build/run rotations.

• Oversee production incidents, monitor alerts, and handle complex investigation requests.

• Uphold service quality standards.

• Aid teams in resolving their challenges and enhancing their independence.

• Showcase platform upgrades and provide user support.

• Collaborate with teams across Development, Product, Data, AI, and Security/Compliance.

• Take part in incident diagnosis during the technical practical evaluation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure, SRE, or Platform Engineering within a high-demand production setting.

• Extensive knowledge of at least one Cloud Service Provider (CSP), including the management and optimization of services such as Kubernetes, Object Storage, Databases, Message Buses, and Key Management Services (KMS).

• Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code with Terraform/Terragrunt.

• Experience in automating infrastructure, orchestrating containers, and utilizing FluxCD.

• Significant familiarity with VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, and the EFK stack.

• Capability to analyze and resolve intricate technical issues in a cloud-native framework.

• Experience collaborating in distributed teams.

• Background in a scale-up, regulated environment, or infrastructure supporting various SaaS products is advantageous.

• Practical experience using artificial intelligence tools in a professional setting is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills are beneficial.

• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote team.

• Strong written communication skills, a readiness to share information in writing, and the ability to seek assistance.

• Interest in the needs of development teams and the challenges faced in product and business contexts.

• Enthusiasm for emerging cloud technologies and industry advancements.

• A GitHub username and completion of specified technical prerequisites prior to the practical assessment.
