Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain reliable cloud platforms utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Integrate software engineering with infrastructure, automation, cloud architecture, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

• Establish a platform that empowers engineers to efficiently and independently build and deploy solutions

• Handle infrastructure management solely through code, eliminating manual configurations

• Strive for high reliability, extensive automation, and robust system observability

• Construct the platform service layer and APIs

• Collaborate closely with both the company and its clients

• Assist development teams in securely delivering code

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Kubernetes (highly preferred)

• Familiarity with OpenMetadata or comparable data governance solutions

• Knowledge of GCP Networking, encompassing Load Balancers, DNS, TLS/SSL, and IAP

• Experience in cloud security

• Proficient with monitoring and observability tools

• Extensive background in Platform, DevOps, or SRE roles

• Strong experience working with cloud systems on GCP and crafting scalable, resilient architectures

• Solid foundation in Python and FastAPI

• Experience with Terraform and GitHub Actions

• Expertise in PostgreSQL administration, performance optimization, and integrations

• Developer Experience (DX) mindset with an understanding of the needs of development teams

• Capability to minimize developer friction and assist teams in safely delivering code
