Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain the Bridgeway platform that facilitates software development and deployment.

• Design and create scalable, resilient, and efficient platform solutions utilizing cloud services and contemporary software design frameworks.

• Develop modular, reusable infrastructure using Terraform and associated tools.

• Enhance DevOps practices through automation across departments and functional teams.

• Architect, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines to accommodate platform functions and meet customer demands at scale.

• Deliver solutions employing event-driven, object-oriented, and functional design patterns.

• Design and implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure reliability and performance.

• Define and uphold platform-system lifecycle processes, encompassing updates, patches, and security compliance.

• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, analyze performance metrics, and execute optimizations.

• Strategically plan for infrastructure scaling to support business growth.

• Apply security-first practices to adhere to SOC, SOC2, HIPAA, NIST, and other regulatory standards.

• Implement and manage IAM, firewalls, and SIEM solutions effectively.

• Integrate a variety of diverse and unconventional systems.

• Lead assigned projects, fostering cross-team collaboration, execution, delivery, and accountability.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure platform service reliability and availability.

• Utilize generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to enhance workflows, solution quality, and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in platform, cloud, or SRE engineering roles.

• Advanced understanding of cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or others.

• Experience transitioning legacy environments to modern cloud practices.

• Strong expertise in Git and collaborative workflows.

• Intermediate knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code frameworks.

• Intermediate experience in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines and tools.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.

• Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, LXC, and similar tools.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Experience with generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to enhance productivity and achieve high-quality outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
