Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage the architecture and development of platforms for developer onboarding and enablement.

• Standardize and enhance service deployment methods across application teams.

• Expedite onboarding and deployment processes through scalable automation of platforms.

• Design and implement cloud-native automation solutions to minimize manual tasks in onboarding workflows.

• Develop and maintain tooling for developer enablement and internal platform services.

• Offer practical technical guidance and assistance to developers utilizing internal platforms.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate platform and integration challenges across distributed systems.

• Work collaboratively with application and platform teams to address evolving developer requirements.

• Create and integrate AI/ML and agentic AI solutions to streamline onboarding processes, improve troubleshooting, and enhance developer self-service capabilities.

• Utilize AI-driven automation to boost platform efficiency, reliability, and developer experience on a large scale.

• Define and contribute to the technical roadmap for platform modernization and automation projects.

• Generate and uphold high-quality technical documentation, runbooks, and enablement resources.

• Remain updated on the latest technologies in cloud platforms, AI/ML, and agentic AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in developing scalable cloud-native applications using Python, Node.js, or similar frameworks.

• More than 8 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

• At least 8 years of experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC automation (e.g., Jenkins, CloudBees, Spinnaker).

• Over 8 years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and platform automation tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, etc.).

• Familiarity with containerized and distributed systems utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, observability, and distributed system architecture.

• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and incident resolution abilities.

• Experience in creating operational documentation (runbooks, engineering guides, system design documents).

• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering teams.

• Practical experience in building and deploying production AI/ML systems.

• Experience with agentic AI systems or LLM-based automation workflows (tool usage, orchestration, autonomous agents).

• Demonstrated capability to function at a Senior Engineer level, merging hands-on execution with architectural ownership and technical leadership.
