DevSecOps Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop, provision, and sustain modular Terraform components and GitOps methodologies for multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS), software-defined networking, and pod identity infrastructures.

• Manage Istio/Envoy service mesh architectures across Public Ingress, B2B Ingress, and Egress gateways.

• Create and maintain OPA/Rego policies for pre-flight deployment assessments, validation of Commit-as-Code formats, and dynamic just-in-time access escalation controls.

• Set up OpenTelemetry collectors and Envoy sidecar proxies to generate consistent out-of-band JSON telemetry logs.

• Apply W3C traceparent headers and primary system keys throughout network transitions.

• Oversee ArgoCD pull-based continuous delivery systems.

• Develop automated structural linters that enforce the 10-Pillar Application Spoke Repository Standard.

• Construct security, networking, and platform control systems for an automated zero-trust software factory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of extensive experience managing production Kubernetes (Amazon EKS, Azure AKS) and container security frameworks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Advanced practical experience in configuring Istio / Envoy service meshes, mTLS, customized ingress/egress routing, and edge API gateways.

• Proficient in writing custom Open Policy Agent (OPA) rules in Rego for pipeline gating, admission controls, or access governance.

• High level of expertise with Terraform and pull-based GitOps delivery tools (ArgoCD or Flux).

• Practical experience with OIDC identity federation, HashiCorp Vault, and short-lived secret management workflows.

• Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry instrumentation, W3C trace context propagation, and log aggregation processes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD linter development for regular expression validation (Commit-as-Code).

• Experience working within Hub-and-Spoke repository frameworks and developer portal integrations.
