This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design, construct, and manage secure, multi-account AWS environments employing contemporary Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Create and enhance container orchestration layers utilizing AWS ECS (Fargate) for efficient microservices and AWS EKS (Kubernetes) for specialized tasks.
• Develop unified, reusable, and secure automated delivery workflows using GitHub Actions and modern deployment tools.
• Offer self-service infrastructure blueprints and automated safeguards for backend developers.
• Implement telemetry, logging, and alerting systems with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Integrate automated security assessments, IAM least-privilege models, and secure secrets management into the platform.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend and product teams by providing CI/CD, architectural advice, and assistance on shared initiatives.
• Assume responsibility for key components of the internal engineering platform, enabling safe, rapid, and autonomous production deployments.
• Construct modern infrastructure and develop greenfield services from the ground up with minimal legacy concerns.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with significant production independence.
• Extensive production-level expertise in AWS core services, including VPC, IAM, Networking, ECS, EKS, RDS, and Lambda.
• Profound understanding of Docker and container runtimes.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS ECS (Fargate).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) for specific use cases.
• Advanced skills in Terraform for creating modular and scalable cloud architectures.
• High proficiency in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and artifact management.
• Strong ability to write maintainable code or tooling in Go, Python, or advanced Bash.
• High self-motivation.
• Excellent English communication abilities.
• Strong remote-first work ethic.
• Legal eligibility to work in the country where the position is located.
• AI tools with Claude for code generation, API design, code reviews, architectural documentation, and debugging.
• Top-notch AI tools to minimize boilerplate tasks.
