DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create resilient full-stack applications utilizing Node.js, MongoDB, Next.js, and Nest.js.

• Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and YAML.

• Containerize and manage applications through Docker and Kubernetes.

• Craft scalable DevOps solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.

• Develop secure and reliable web applications in accordance with security standards and protocols.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to make architectural choices that enhance scalability and performance.

• Design, implement, test, and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Jenkins, and Docker.

• Address complex real-time challenges while maintaining performance and reliability.

• Set up monitoring and logging solutions for system health and performance tracking.

• Engage in Scrum ceremonies and continually enhance speed, scalability, and security.

• Contribute to the architecture of highly available and resilient systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or engineering.

• Over 2 years of experience in development with Node.js/MERN stack or similar technologies.

• Minimum of 2 years in core web application development, encompassing both front-end and back-end.

• At least 2 years of experience in CI/CD and/or DevOps-related roles.

• Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation.

• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.

• Hands-on experience with YAML for configuration management.

• Knowledge of Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.

• Proficient in Git and GitHub.

• Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience in secure software development and architecture.

• Understanding of security best practices and protocols.

• Exposure to tools such as VSCode, Postman, Jira, Jenkins, and Docker.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch or ELK Stack.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Successful completion of a background check, including verification of criminal history, prior employment, and education.

• Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, experience in serverless architecture, microservices, networking/security, performance optimization, and contributions to open-source projects.

• Experience with PHP is a significant advantage.
