This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the planning and design stages of various intricate physical security projects across North America.
• Act as the primary project manager from the project's inception through to the completion of the design phase.
• Ensure projects remain aligned with client goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Define project schedule and scope parameters while overseeing the design and implementation of security solutions.
• Manage activities related to project initiation and develop the security scope, schedule, critical deliverables, and requirements.
• Oversee the scheduling, status updates, and tracking of essential project tasks, issues, and deliverables.
• Prepare, distribute, and manage RFP documents for the installation of security systems.
• Assess RFP submissions and create evaluation reports that include scoring and recommendations.
• Conduct security site assessments and review proposed design concepts.
• Apply client system design standards and collaborate with stakeholders to establish use cases and validate functional requirements.
• Create security functional specifications.
• Review security system design documentation for compliance and make redline corrections as necessary.
• Keep clients updated on project status, including budget, schedule, and issues encountered.
• Manage client expectations through effective communication with both clients and project team members.
• Act as the primary security liaison for project teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in project design, management, OAC, and construction meetings.
• Oversee physical security site activation activities to ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with ZBeta design resources to create scope of work documents for the procurement and installation of security systems.
• Produce weekly project status updates and reports on issues, discussing high-priority concerns with client stakeholders.
• Document resolutions for issues that deviate from client security requirements.
• Review designs for technical precision, feasibility, and compliance.
• Coordinate internal quality assurance assessments prior to client delivery.
• Confirm that deliverables are complete, coordinated, and ready for procurement.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to ZBeta's quality standards and design methodologies.
• Capture lessons learned and suggest improvements for future project delivery.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, ideally in consulting for external clients on complex, fast-paced data center projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• In-depth knowledge of access control system hardware, wiring standards/practices, installation procedures, and programming.
• Familiarity with Lenel OnGuard; basic programming experience is a plus.
• Certification in either S2 or Lenel Access Control Systems is preferred.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office software.
• Proficiency in Studio and Bluebeam is an advantage.
• Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project, SharePoint, and QuickBase.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and juggle multiple competing priorities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting intricate information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to identify critical path activities, prioritize tasks and deliverables, and maintain consistent progress.
• Ability to influence and foster accountability among teams without direct authority.
• Capacity to mentor and support project team members.
• Must be located in the United States.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to meet client and/or government security screening requirements.
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
• Required to complete a background check upon hiring and every two years thereafter.
