
Senior Physical Environment Surveyor – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
• Act as a vital member of the healthcare survey team to ensure provider adherence to DNV guidelines, principles, and documented instructions.
• Conduct independent surveys of healthcare organizations across the United States.
• Evaluate and review healthcare organizations’ compliance with relevant standards and ISO principles.
• Develop management reports associated with standard nonconformities, possible system vulnerabilities, and organizational risk factors.
• Engage and communicate with staff from healthcare organizations regarding standards-based matters.
• Assess compliance levels and identify areas for enhancement.
• Supervise, mentor, and/or train other members of the survey team as needed.
• Participate in scheduled educational calls.
• Fulfill ongoing training and educational requirements as mandated.
• Engage in additional DNV activities as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the healthcare field or related domains such as Safety, NFPA/Life Safety, OSHA, etc.
• Exceptional customer service abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office, including the capacity to create precise and timely reports.
• Strong ethical standards.
• Willingness and capability to travel to client sites up to 100% of the time, including primarily overnight stays and frequent U.S. travel outside typical working hours and on occasional weekends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable speaking publicly.
• Critical thinking, interpersonal, problem-solving, interviewing, teamwork, organizational, analytical, empathetic, communication, calm-response, and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to rent and operate a vehicle as well as use public transportation when necessary.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Capacity to work in environments with infectious diseases.
• Adaptability to changing conditions and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Capability to walk and stand for extended periods, traverse long distances, lift, climb, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and transport luggage and a computer during multi-day travel.
• Proficiency in pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
• Ability to navigate airport environments and fulfill all other travel obligations.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field; CHFM, CHSP, or CHOP certifications; experience with NIAHO Standards Application; ISO 9001 experience; auditing experience; facilities management background; knowledge of Life Safety Code/NFPA; medical equipment/clinical engineering experience; infection prevention expertise; behavioral health experience.
