Senior PHP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing PHP (CakePHP/Laravel)

• Assist with frontend development using JavaScript and a contemporary framework (Vue.js) when necessary

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-structured code adhering to best practices

• Implement object-oriented design principles in daily development tasks

• Ensure high standards of code quality through automated testing and code reviews

• Engage in test-driven development (TDD) practices or actively seek to learn and adopt them

• Work with SQL databases, focusing on schema design and query optimization

• Openness to working with custom PHP code

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements and deliver high-quality solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive backend experience with PHP for 6+ years, including frameworks like CakePHP or Laravel

• Proficient knowledge of JavaScript

• Experience with a frontend framework (Vue.js) — considered a plus, but not the primary focus

• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and design principles

• Keen interest in type safety and crafting reliable code

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks

• Understanding of TDD or a willingness to adopt it

• Solid knowledge of SQL and fundamental principles of database design

• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level
