Senior PeopleSoft HCM Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and assess current PeopleSoft HCM business processes.

• Identify and suggest automation strategies utilizing native PeopleSoft functionality.

• Outline automation requirements, methodologies, dependencies, and complexity for HCM processes.

• Create comprehensive automation plans that encompass scope, approach, timelines, tools, assumptions, and implementation considerations.

• Produce clear and organized technical documentation to facilitate review and decision-making processes.

• Develop repeatable documentation and automation planning methodologies based on feedback from stakeholders.

• Assist in the planning and prioritization of automation projects.

• Design and implement PeopleSoft configurations and custom solutions as implementation activities advance.

• Aid in testing, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and technical validation.

• Collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to comprehend requirements and offer recommendations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Extensive senior-level experience as a PeopleSoft HCM Consultant with robust hands-on technical and functional expertise.

• Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft HCM implementations in complex enterprise settings.

• Strong functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll, Health & Welfare, and Benefits modules.

• Significant hands-on experience with PeopleTools.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing automation within PeopleSoft environments.

• Capability to evaluate existing PeopleSoft business processes and identify automation opportunities using native PeopleSoft features.

• Experience in defining automation requirements and estimating process complexity and implementation efforts.

• Strong technical documentation capabilities, including automation plans, process methodologies, timelines, and tooling recommendations.

• Experience in preparing technical documentation for formal IT governance or technical review processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently in complex and ambiguous situations.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, including the capacity to present and justify technical recommendations.

• Experience in consulting, advisory, or client-facing settings.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• PeopleSoft HCM and/or PeopleTools certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI or Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or similar tools is an advantage.
