Senior FinOps Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities for optimizing cloud costs within Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.

• Quantify potential savings and business advantages utilizing FinOps methodologies and tools.

• Execute strategies for usage and rate optimization to lower cloud expenses and enhance efficiency.

• Create and implement FinOps maturity roadmaps aligned with customer objectives.

• Facilitate customer workshops, deliver presentations, and conduct enablement sessions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Generate customer-facing reports and provide optimization recommendations.

• Offer guidance to organizations on best practices and governance in cloud financial management.

• Collaborate with pre-sales, professional services, and managed services teams.

• Assist customers in establishing and scaling FinOps operating models.

• Support organizations in developing sustainable processes for ongoing cloud cost optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in implementing FinOps practices within Azure, AWS, and/or GCP environments.

• In-depth knowledge of the FinOps Framework, its lifecycle, domains, and capabilities.

• Practical experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools.

• Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities.

• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills in customer-facing roles.

• Experience presenting information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of clearly explaining cloud economics.

• FinOps Practitioner or FinOps Professional certification.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (preferred).

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (preferred).

• Experience working in multi-cloud environments (preferred).

• Background in designing FinOps transformation or maturity programs (preferred).
