This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee and manage all facets of payroll processing, including tax levies, garnishments, taxation, deductions, and special payments.
• Verify pay entries and perform audits during each payroll cycle.
• Examine audit reports to pinpoint and rectify accuracy discrepancies prior to processing.
• Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Local payroll regulations.
• Secure necessary approvals and facilitate off-cycle payments.
• Analyze and address payroll-related issues, inquiries, and tickets.
• Assist colleagues and internal teams with expert knowledge of payroll and time-and-attendance systems.
• Function as the primary contact for associates, managers, and timekeepers regarding payroll, time calculations, and deductions.
• Contribute to precise payroll reporting and analysis.
• Input historical corrections into the time-and-attendance system.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
• Serve as a payroll subject matter expert and resource.
• Deliver training, mentorship, and guidance to Payroll Specialists.
• Assist with payroll services and operations, payroll audits and analyses, and project-related initiatives.
• At least 1 year of pertinent payroll processing experience (required).
• Prior experience utilizing Microsoft Excel or a comparable spreadsheet application for data analysis, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP (required).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• 2 or more years of relevant payroll processing experience (preferred).
• Understanding of payroll processing and procedures.
• Familiarity with payroll accounting and its influence on the general ledger, productivity, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365.
