This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage the complete payroll process for designated entities on a bi-weekly schedule for a growing workforce.
• Investigate and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.
• Communicate payroll policies and procedures while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Validate and process reimbursements for employee expenses.
• Act as the main point of contact for both internal and external inquiries related to payroll taxes and audits.
• Lead initiatives to enhance improvements, automation, communication, and education aimed at enriching employee experience.
• Support the implementation of new payroll systems or the updating of existing systems to align with business requirements.
• Refine processes and procedures as the organization grows to integrate cutting-edge technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Over 3 years of progressive experience in payroll processing.
• Experience with payroll processing across multiple states.
• Knowledge of new-state registration setup and compliance requirements.
• Strong working understanding of UKG; experience in implementation is advantageous.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
