Junior Payroll Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Administer weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of UK clients.

• Calculate gross-to-net salaries, overtime, bonuses, holiday pay, and statutory payments.

• Manage PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and other payroll deductions.

• Oversee onboarding of new employees, departures, and updates to employee records.

• Handle workplace pension compliance and auto-enrolment obligations.

• Complete RTI submissions and other necessary HMRC payroll reporting.

• Generate and distribute payslips and payroll reports.

• Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including P60 generation.

• Review payroll data meticulously to ensure accuracy prior to submission.

• Investigate and rectify payroll discrepancies or errors.

• Address client payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

• Maintain precise and confidential payroll records.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in UK payroll is highly preferred.

• Experience with processing multiple payrolls or in a payroll bureau/accounting environment is advantageous.

• Solid understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, and UK payroll processes.

• Familiarity with workplace pensions and auto-enrolment regulations.

• Proficient in Excel and general computer skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort with numerical data.

• Ability to manage various deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Capable of working independently in a fully remote setting.
