Senior Payables Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional process design and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance internal controls and accommodate business complexity.

• Oversee month-end closing procedures, including financial statement variance analysis, while identifying and implementing process efficiencies.

• Monitor credits and funds owed to Spreetail, collaborating with Treasury for cash optimization and weekly payment processing.

• Create and present reporting, metrics, and insights that facilitate issue resolution and enhance financial outcomes.

• Propel cross-functional issue resolution through effective communication, stakeholder collaboration, and a focus on financial results.

• Manage and scale operations related to freight payables.

• Oversee critical components of freight invoice processing, accruals, and reconciliation.

• Collaborate with Transportation, Logistics, Treasury, and FP&A to ensure the accurate and timely recording of freight expenses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.

• 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar business function.

• Proficient understanding of GAAP.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience utilizing analytics tools.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a mindset geared toward process improvement.

• Capacity to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Exceptional organizational and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to prioritize competing initiatives and manage multiple projects effectively.

• Availability for a work-from-home setup.

• 4th generation or newer desktop/laptop with at least an Intel i3 or equivalent processor.

• Minimum of 4GB RAM.

• Windows 10 or higher, or MAC OSX operating system.

• Ownership of dual monitors.

• Reliable and stable wired internet connection with a minimum 10 Mbps plan for primary connectivity.

• PC headset.

• HD external or integrated webcam with a minimum resolution of 720p.
