Senior Partner Solutions Engineer – Technical Partnerships

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical aspects and relationships for a set of Sanity technology partners.

• Oversee project plans, roadmaps, business discussions, and technical assessments.

• Facilitate discussions with partner business and product executives.

• Evaluate technical feasibility and effort, followed by comprehensive scoping.

• Craft partner proposals and collaborative roadmaps with solid technical insights.

• Discover and document integration or MCP-based solution opportunities, encompassing architecture, APIs, data flows, and integration points.

• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to mitigate risks and clarify design choices.

• Create technical documentation for partner engineering teams and Sanity R&D.

• Navigate partner APIs, SDKs, and technical documentation while advising on integration trade-offs.

• Collaborate with R&D during builds and launches, ensuring validation of implementations.

• Review partner-created integrations for code quality, security posture, API usage, and customer value.

• Offer actionable feedback to partners and highlight systemic gaps to Product and Engineering.

• Assess partners' AI product surfaces, including model selections, agent tooling, and developer experience.

• Identify technical leverage for Sanity’s content platform within AI-native partner ecosystems.

• Transition scoped opportunities to R&D while representing partner requirements in the roadmap.

• Assist Solutions Architects and Sales Engineering with reference architectures and prototypes.

• Report directly to the VP of Technical Partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or in a technical partner/integration role.

• Proven history of scoping technical integrations, effectively transitioning them to a build team, and managing related relationships.

• A builder mindset with the capability to generate innovative joint-solution concepts.

• Ability to engage effectively with business and product leaders, bridging strategic and technical conversations.

• Practical experience with APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and contemporary AI/developer tools.

• Comfortable prototyping directly within partner or third-party codebases.

• Familiarity with core AI/LLM concepts.

• Practical experience with the MCP framework.

• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to produce build-ready specifications.

• Capability to work independently across both ambiguous and well-defined challenges.

• Experience in reviewing or auditing third-party integrations for security or architecture (preferred).

• Familiarity with headless CMS or headless commerce integration patterns (preferred).

• Background in developer relations or technical partnerships (preferred).

• Experience using Sanity in production or creating solutions with Sanity (preferred).
