This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.
• Conduct initial and ongoing due diligence on sponsored ISOs, PayFacs, and acquiring partners.
• Recognize inherent risks within the risk taxonomy.
• Evaluate operational controls of ISOs, merchant underwriting practices, and portfolio composition according to a specified review cycle.
• Assess partner compliance with Bank policies, card brand regulations, and relevant legal requirements.
• Maintain the Bank's Partner risk and control register.
• Execute ongoing monitoring and oversight activities.
• Keep track of review schedules, findings, remediation commitments, documentation, and oversight status for all sponsored entities.
• Develop, track, and report on critical Partner performance and risk indicators.
• Serve as a liaison with banking Partners during risk management oversight activities.
• Lead discussions related to risk escalation.
• Coordinate requests for internal and external examinations and manage the delivery of results.
• Report significant findings, control weaknesses, or breaches of contractual compliance to the Senior Manager.
• Assist with the tracking of subsequent remediation efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-10 years of experience in a risk management capacity, including third-party risk management (TPRM), ISO/vendor oversight, and regulatory compliance monitoring/testing/oversight in financial services.
• Solid understanding and experience in applying risk management frameworks within a BaaS banking context and/or merchant acquiring sponsor banking.
• Experience in evaluating operational controls, compliance metrics, and partner due diligence documentation.
• Proven background in ecommerce risk management.
• Knowledge of emerging verticals like Nutraceuticals, AI, and high-risk sectors, including CBD and Gambling.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail for maintaining compliance logs and oversight registers.
• Familiarity with ISO sponsorship governance models and general card network regulations.
• Excellent written communication skills to clearly and concisely document assessment findings.
• Capable of lifting over 10 lbs.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday; occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
• Background, credit reference, and drug screening tests are prerequisites for employment.
