This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee financial management, forecasting, and performance evaluation for intricate projects, portfolios, or service lines.
• Create comprehensive forecasts that link contract scope, schedule, progress, quantities, labor, equipment, procurement, expenditures, revenue, earnings, and cash flow.
• Assess and scrutinize estimates upon completion, productivity assumptions, contingency usage, change recovery, and positions related to risks and opportunities.
• Detect emerging performance challenges and quantify their potential impact on revenue, gross profit, cash, and working capital.
• Facilitate regular project reviews and deliver clear financial insights, decision points, and recommended actions.
• Ensure that revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, billing positions, and forecast adjustments are justified and aligned with policy.
• Develop analytical models, dashboards, reconciliations, and exception reports with robust data governance.
• Collaborate across operations, project controls, commercial, accounting, procurement, payroll, and leadership to address cross-functional challenges.
• Spearhead targeted process enhancements and assist in the implementation and adoption of new systems and operational practices.
• Mentor analysts and coordinators while reviewing their work for accuracy, completeness, and business relevance.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Expertise in project finance, project accounting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Profound knowledge of construction or EPC project drivers, including schedule, quantities, productivity, change management, and cost-to-complete.
• Capability to identify flawed assumptions, reconcile conflicting information, and establish a well-supported financial stance.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced skills.
• Familiarity with Power BI, ERP, project management, or data visualization tools.
• Strong communication skills suitable for executive-level interaction and the ability to influence project and operational leaders without direct authority.
• Solid process orientation focusing on controls, repeatability, and data integrity.
• Ability to manage intricate priorities and work independently in uncertain environments.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop less-experienced team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Generally six to nine years of progressive experience in operations finance, project accounting, project controls, or a related field.
• Required experience in construction, engineering, utilities, or EPC sectors.
• Preferred experience with large or complex projects.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or relevant professional certification is preferred.
