This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily processing of deposits, Real Time Payments (RTP), ACH, and wire transfers.
• Execute manual and batch postings, conduct research, manage exceptions, and perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Organize and schedule daily EFT, ACH, and wire processing activities.
• Act as the main point of contact for the department in the absence of the Operations Manager.
• Assist with electronic funds processes and provide member servicing support.
• Engage in system updates, service enhancements, and process change initiatives.
• Maintain project and ticketing tools, utilizing Agile-inspired methodologies.
• Lead or assist in process reviews and testing, converting findings into production modifications.
• Identify opportunities for automation through RPA and AI-assisted workflows.
• Establish requirements, test automation solutions, and evaluate their impact in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with vendors, management, and regulators regarding internal services, funds transfer policies, compliance, security, and contingency planning.
• Draft and maintain procedural documentation while recommending policy revisions.
• Utilize AI-assisted decision tools for exception handling, risk assessment, and fraud detection when applicable.
• Provide support to other business units with member inquiries and workflows.
• Cross-train on essential processes and assist in maintaining service levels.
• Liaise with vendors and third parties on behalf of members and the Credit Union.
• Stay informed about regulatory and technological advancements.
• Foster a positive, professional work environment and undertake additional assigned tasks.
• Minimum of four years of transactional processing experience in a bank or credit union.
• At least two years of experience in a similar Operations role.
• Familiarity with deposit and payment systems, including ACH, wires, and RTP, as well as related digital banking platforms.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of lookups, pivot tables, and data cleansing techniques.
• Comfortable working with data exports and dashboards.
• Experience with payment systems or RPA/automation tools, such as workflow engines, bots, scripting, or rules engines.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and translate business requirements into system or configuration needs for vendors/IT.
• Experience with or support of AI-assisted decision tools and automation in operations, or ability to identify opportunities for automation and assist in building business cases for AI-assisted implementations.
• Comprehensive understanding of the rules and regulations governing transactional processing within financial institutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, decision-making, and time management abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting critical deadlines with precision.
• High integrity, trustworthiness, and accountability.
• Comfortable working across various banking systems and tools, and adapting to new technologies and AI-assisted capabilities.
• Reliable internet connection, a current smartphone, ability to engage in extended computer use, and frequent communication via email, chat, video, and phone.
• Stable internet connection suitable for video conferencing and screen sharing.
• Candidates must reside within the United States.
• U.S. work authorization is mandatory.
