Senior Operations Analyst – Core Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver operational and technical assistance for the Symitar core processing system and its associated applications.

• Oversee and support daily, nightly, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processing tasks.

• Manage Symitar parameters, system configurations, security controls, jobs, batch processes, and overall system settings.

• Assist with core upgrades, releases, patches, and system enhancements.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate core system and integration challenges.

• Identify root causes and facilitate resolution of issues effectively.

• Analyze data to detect discrepancies, trends, processing challenges, and areas for enhancement.

• Handle vendor support cases and coordinate issue resolution with Jack Henry and third-party service providers.

• Design, develop, and enhance jobs, reports, letters, and automated processes.

• Assess business processes and suggest automation and workflow enhancements.

• Collaborate with business units to comprehend operational requirements and translate them into viable technical solutions.

• Spot opportunities to boost employee productivity and improve the member experience through technology.

• Support SymXchange and integrations with external applications.

• Troubleshoot interfaces, data feeds, APIs, web services, and file transmissions.

• Assist with the implementation and ongoing management of PowerFrame Docs and microapps.

• Support new technology rollouts, product implementations, and system upgrades.

• Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, jobs, integrations, and operational workflows.

• Provide training and technical support to end users and business units.

• Engage in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing activities.

• Ensure adherence to security requirements, operational standards, and regulatory guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be accepted.

• At least five (5) years of relevant technical experience.

• Eight (8) years of applicable technical experience may replace the degree requirement.

• Proven experience in supporting and administering Jack Henry Symitar environments.

• Familiarity with Symitar operations and application support.

• Experience with Home Banking solutions.

• Knowledge of web services and integrations.

• Proficient in SymXchange.

• Experience with Jack Henry services and products, including ImageCenter, Synergy, and Banno.

• Background in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery solutions.

• Experience in implementing and supporting PowerFrame Docs and microapps.

• Strong grasp of Symitar PowerOn tools and functionalities.

• Preferred: Experience with OpCon/Continuous.

• Preferred: Experience executing Symitar release and service pack installations.

• Preferred: Previous work experience in a financial institution or credit union setting.
