This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect requirements and devise solutions that align with engineering standards and business objectives.

• Design, implement, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters within both on-premises physical and virtualized settings.

• Lead systems engineering projects related to OpenShift infrastructure.

• Work alongside development teams to containerize applications and enhance deployment and release workflows.

• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing OpenShift and relevant DevOps tools.

• Automate operational and deployment processes through Ansible and scripting tools.

• Conduct patching and upgrades of OpenShift clusters, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, and associated components, ensuring compliance with change-management protocols.

• Design, implement, and uphold backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.

• Participate in on-call/standby rotations for critical platform and infrastructure services.

• Execute trend analysis, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of platform-related issues.

• Implement and uphold security practices, including RBAC, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.

• Enhance alerting, monitoring, and observability across OpenShift and related systems.

• Conduct Linux system administration, infrastructure maintenance, and data center service support when OpenShift workload is minimal.

• Maintain architecture diagrams, operational procedures, documentation, and runbooks.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training on OpenShift, GitLab, and related infrastructure technologies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of relevant professional experience.

• Alternatively, equivalent professional certifications including Red Hat OpenShift training, combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Hands-on experience in deploying, operating, and maintaining OpenShift and GitLab CI platforms.

• Strong infrastructure automation skills, particularly with Ansible.

• Experience in Linux system administration within enterprise or datacenter environments.

• Proficiency in documenting architectures, configurations, standards, SOPs, and training materials.

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

• Familiarity with ITIL Service Operations principles is a plus.

• Experience with ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, monitoring and observability platforms, or disaster recovery tools is advantageous.

• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science is considered an advantage.
