Senior Node.js Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and support Tether’s P2P infrastructure.

• Enhance the Holepunch ecosystem.

• Collaborate with a modular codebase featuring over 1,500 public npm packages.

• Develop and sustain production-level Node.js applications.

• Create and oversee reusable npm packages.

• Conduct software testing and debugging.

• Be an active contributor to a globally distributed engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Node.js development for production-scale applications.

• Strong ability in writing modular, maintainable code.

• Experience in creating and managing reusable npm packages.

• Proficient skills in testing and debugging.

• Passion for or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.

• Comfortable working in a remote, globally distributed setting.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Preferred: Experience with native Node.js extensions (C/C++) or binding JavaScript with lower-level code.

• Preferred: Skills in optimizing network protocols or systems, including latency and throughput.

• Preferred: Knowledge of advanced networking concepts.

• Preferred: Previous contributions to open-source projects, particularly in P2P or decentralized technology.
