Senior Node.js Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop efficient and secure backend services utilized by thousands of customers, managing millions in monthly transaction revenue.

• Create and implement cloud-native solutions.

• Collaborate closely with front-end developers.

• Assume complete responsibility for code from its development to deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production.

• Operate within an Agile, iterative environment.

• Gather metrics and apply performance and platform-wide perspectives.

• Contribute independently towards collective team objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with Node.js 18/20 LTS and modern JavaScript (ES2022+).

• Proficient in TypeScript 5.x, including typing for asynchronous and event-driven code.

• Demonstrated experience in building efficient, resilient, and secure backend services.

• Familiar with asynchronous and event-driven workflows (queues, streams, pub/sub).

• In-depth knowledge of HTTP, REST, and/or GraphQL, along with service-oriented architectural patterns.

• Experience in unit and integration testing using Jest, Vitest, or similar tools, maintaining coverage.

• Skilled in Git-based version control within a continuous delivery framework.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision towards shared team goals.

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

• Knowledge of Portuguese is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Practical experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL 14+, MySQL 8) and NoSQL (MongoDB 6+, DynamoDB, Redis 7) databases is advantageous.

• Exposure to React 18+ is a plus.

• Experience with ESLint 8+, Prettier, static analysis, and type checkers is preferred.

• Agile delivery experience with Scrum or Kanban is a plus.

• Experience with integration between warehouse management and eCommerce platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipeline is advantageous.
