This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Design and develop network security solutions utilizing Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of routing and optical transport systems, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate security requirements, identify vulnerabilities, and suggest security enhancements.
• Perform network and security evaluations, providing comprehensive reports and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and upkeep security systems, respond to incidents, and execute corrective actions.
• Spearhead the implementation of Identity Services with dual-factor authentication.
• Create and maintain documentation for network security architectures, configurations, and procedures.
• Offer expert technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
• Aid sales engineering by devising technical solutions and engaging in client presentations.
• Stay updated on advancements in network security, emerging threats, and product innovations.
• Participate in client meetings and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in designing, installing, and configuring network routing, switching, and security for large and complex networks.
• Preferred 10 years of experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet technologies.
• Preferred 8 years of experience in network architecture design.
• Preferred 3 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Advanced certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalents are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Duo Security or similar products, with a willingness to learn.
• Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN products or a willingness to learn.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-level network security solutions.
• Experience with BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
• Expertise in VPNs, IPSec, SSL/TLS, and advanced threat protection.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Capability to lift and rack-mount equipment and climb ladders for installation tasks.
• Some travel may be necessary based on client and project requirements.
• Knowledge of SONET architecture or a willingness to learn.
• Strong understanding of MPLS applications in regional connectivity.
• Knowledge of cloud security and integration with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
• Familiarity with Passive Optical Networks, including GPON, XGS PON, and Passive Optical LAN, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
