Senior Network Engineer – LAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues for external clients.

• Collaborate with Network Architects and Engineers to enhance data-center network infrastructures.

• Launch initiatives aimed at improving Network Operations.

• Work alongside internal business units to comprehend organizational requirements.

• Enhance and implement standards for operational excellence.

• Review, assess, and fulfill network change requests.

• Implement, document, and develop automation for repetitive network tasks.

• Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot IP networking components within a mission-critical Cisco Nexus datacenter network.

• Provide support for a large-scale SaaS production environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are secure, resilient, and prepared for the future.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in medium-to-large enterprise networks.

• Proficient in network security, particularly with Palo Alto firewalls.

• Expertise in load balancing, including F5 or similar technologies.

• Skilled in routing protocols such as MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.

• Experienced in switching technologies, particularly Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k.

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS; preference for Nexus OS.

• Understanding of router platforms, LAN, WAN, router protocols, MPLS, OSPF, and BGP, and their network interactions.

• Experience in datacenter networking, including DC fabric, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPNs.

• Strong troubleshooting ability and a data-driven approach to resolving complex network challenges.

• Capability to create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and runbooks.

• Experience with large data center solutions, interoffice routing strategies, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, IPSec, and monitoring is advantageous.
