Senior Network Engineer – LAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Manage, enhance, and resolve issues related to IP networking components within a mission-critical datacenter network utilizing Cisco Nexus platforms.

• Provide support for a large-scale SaaS production environment.

• Diagnose network connectivity problems affecting external customers.

• Collaborate with Network Architects and Engineers to enhance data-center network environments.

• Initiate improvement projects for Network Operations.

• Work with internal business units to identify organizational requirements and continually enhance operational standards.

• Review, analyze, and implement network change requests.

• Execute, document, and create network automation for repetitive tasks.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and prepared for future demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with medium-to-large enterprise networks.

• Practical knowledge in network security, specifically with Palo Alto firewalls.

• Hands-on experience with load balancing technologies, such as F5 or equivalents.

• Proficient in routing protocols, including MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.

• Expertise in switching technologies, particularly Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k/2k.

• Familiarity with Cisco IOS; Nexus OS is preferred.

• Understanding of router platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols and their interactions within the network.

• Experience with datacenter networking, covering DC fabric, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPNs.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a data-driven methodology for resolving complex network challenges.

• Capability to create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and runbooks.

• Experience in implementing solutions for large data centers, interoffice routing plans, site-to-site VPNs, firewalls, IPSec, and monitoring is an advantage.
