Senior Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engineer, deploy, and maintain the TNS Global IP backbone network.

• Provide Ethernet-based services as specified by the Metro Ethernet Forum.

• Design and support routing protocols, including BGP, ISIS, EIGRP, OSPF, and PIM.

• Develop and maintain WAN/LAN topologies.

• Design and support MPLS networks.

• Create and maintain data center designs.

• Design and support load balancers.

• Evaluate vendors and hardware, providing recommendations.

• Prepare equipment and design specifications for budget planning.

• Identify issues and suggest suitable actions or resolutions.

• Offer guidance to team members, assist with facilities processes, and facilitate technical knowledge transfer.

• Contribute to complex system-wide components and projects.

• Lead entire projects or project teams.

• Provide consultation on other projects and resolve highly technical, intricate problems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of design and operational experience in large-scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks.

• More than 5 years of expertise in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and Fast Reroute technologies).

• At least 3 years of experience with the architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services, including Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS.

• More than 5 years of experience with layer-2 Ethernet technologies.

• A minimum of 3 years of working knowledge in Data Center design and operations.

• Expertise in current industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.).

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and problem resolution of complex Cisco and/or Juniper networks.

• Familiarity with command-line interfaces and network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds and Splunk.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.

• Certification in relevant Cisco and Juniper technologies.
