This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead a system-wide, cross-functional team.
• Plan the integration and implementation of cutting-edge technology.
• Guide and contribute to the direction of various projects.
• Influence customer/user groups and teams effectively.
• Tackle highly technical and complex challenges for one or more projects.
• Develop and enhance strategic processes and project direction.
• Transfer technical expertise and skills to team members.
• Engineer, deploy, and support the TNS Global IP backbone network.
• Deliver Ethernet-based services as defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum.
• Design and provide support for routing protocols, WAN/LAN topologies, MPLS, data centers, and load balancers.
• Evaluate vendors and hardware, offering informed recommendations.
• Create equipment and design specifications for budgetary considerations.
• Provide technical leadership and own the end-to-end process.
• Over 10 years of design and operations experience in large-scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks.
• More than 5 years of expertise in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and Fast Reroute technologies).
• At least 3 years of experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services, including Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS.
• Over 5 years of extensive knowledge and experience in layer-2 Ethernet technologies.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical knowledge in Data Center design and operations.
• Expertise in current industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.).
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and resolution of complex Cisco and/or Juniper networks.
• Proficient with command-line interfaces and skilled in the effective use of network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and similar software.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Certification in relevant Cisco and Juniper technologies.
• Optional: Knowledge of IP Multicast; Service Provider class Juniper and Cisco routers and switches; Server Load-Balancing; UNIX/Linux; Traffic Generators; Project Management; PERL programming; XML-based management.
