Senior Network Automation Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the health, modernization, automation, and ongoing enhancement of essential infrastructure platforms.

• Investigate issues and technical challenges, propose solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems.

• Influence the evolution of platforms and services for which you are responsible.

• Assess technical obstacles and identify the most effective course of action.

• Analyze business, operational, and technical needs.

• Recognize technical, operational, and timeline risks early in project lifecycles.

• Design, test, integrate, and automate solutions across various platforms.

• Assist with application onboarding, migrations, upgrades, and platform transformations.

• Contribute to platform integrations using APIs, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code principles.

• Develop platform roadmaps and modernization strategies.

• Promote continuous improvement to boost reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

• Oversee platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, migrations, vendor support, and decommissioning.

• Enhance automation capabilities and streamline operational complexity.

• Support compliance, audit, vulnerability remediation, and security initiatives.

• Collaborate with leadership and partner teams to align technology investments with business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, network engineering with automation expertise, DevOps engineering, site reliability engineering, or enterprise monitoring and observability.

• Proficiency in Windows Administration.

• Proficiency in Linux Administration.

• Familiarity with Ansible / AWX.

• Experience with ServiceNow integrations.

• Knowledge of GitHub / GitLab.

• Experience with REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.

• Background in supporting vulnerability management, security remediation, penetration testing, audit readiness, and compliance requirements.

• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for network provisioning.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Azure cloud hosting architecture.

• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Experience in consuming and developing REST API integrations.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.

• Significant experience and judgment in planning and achieving goals.

• Capability to apply general principles to specific issues.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Extensive experience in process improvement.

• Prior experience in developing production-grade Python automation solutions is preferred.

• Familiarity with Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, CMX, or Prime is preferred.

• Practical experience in software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture within the AWS public cloud domain is preferred.

• Working knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and network management platforms is preferred.

• Experience integrating enterprise platforms via REST APIs is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud-hosted application architectures is preferred.

• Experience managing vendor-supported applications and appliances is preferred.

• Knowledge of application lifecycle management, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning is preferred.

• Experience supporting platform modernization initiatives is preferred.
