Senior .Net Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Become a part of a FinTech initiative centered on financial services leveraging contemporary distributed architecture.

• Create and develop scalable services utilizing C#/.NET.

• Construct and sustain scalable, high-performing, and reliable ASP.NET server-side applications.

• Design and execute APIs and backend components for products aimed at customers.

• Collaborate with distributed messaging frameworks and event-driven architectures.

• Design, implement, and manage event streaming and event sourcing solutions with technologies such as Pulsar, Kafka, or similar.

• Engage in topic design, consumer group management, event processing, and replay strategies.

• Develop and enhance NoSQL data solutions, particularly using MongoDB.

• Implement observability solutions employing tools like Datadog, Elasticsearch, Sentry, or equivalent.

• Establish best practices for telemetry, monitoring, logging, and diagnostics.

• Optimize and implement financial calculations, pricing engines, or quantitative models.

• Create reusable, testable infrastructure while maintaining coding standards across teams.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders on features and technical direction.

• Take ownership of technical deliverables from design and implementation through to deployment and production support.

• Explore unfamiliar technologies, legacy systems, and complex technical challenges.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and articulate technical trade-offs.

• Promote engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software development with a strong emphasis on systems engineering.

• Advanced proficiency in C# and .NET.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and building APIs and backend services.

• Solid background in distributed messaging systems and event-driven architectures.

• Practical experience with Pulsar, Kafka, or RabbitMQ, including event streaming and event sourcing patterns at scale.

• Experience in implementing financial calculations, pricing engines, or quantitative models.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.

• Familiarity with telemetry, monitoring, and observability tools like Sentry, Datadog, or Elasticsearch.

• Experience in building and scaling component libraries or design systems.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.

• Strong communication abilities and experience working collaboratively across various teams and functions.

• Proactive ownership mindset, with full accountability for deliverables from technical design to production deployment.

• T-shaped and product-oriented mindset.

• Capacity to independently navigate unfamiliar technologies, legacy codebases, and intricate technical concepts.

• Ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders, elucidate architectural trade-offs, mentor fellow engineers, and contribute to engineering culture.

• Proficiency in English at the Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.

• Nice-to-have: experience with both Pulsar and Kafka or other distributed messaging platforms.

• Nice-to-have: deep understanding of event sourcing, event streaming, replay strategies, and consumer group management.

• Nice-to-have: experience in designing and optimizing high-throughput distributed systems.

• Nice-to-have: experience with MongoDB at scale.

• Nice-to-have: knowledge of cloud-based architectures and modern DevOps practices.

• Nice-to-have: exposure to observability platforms such as Datadog, Sentry, and Elasticsearch.

• Nice-to-have: experience across the full technology stack, including frontend or UI components.

• Nice-to-have: experience mentoring engineers and advancing technical initiatives across teams.
