Senior .NET Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services utilizing C#, ADO.NET, and SQL Server.

• Create and enhance SOAP and REST APIs while ensuring proper versioning, security measures, and industry best practices.

• Guarantee service reliability through unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.

• Collaborate on the integration of various systems and services using suitable software design patterns.

• Conduct code reviews, offer technical feedback, and mentor junior engineers.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance existing solutions.

• Contribute to CI/CD workflows and best practices to boost development efficiency and the quality of deployments.

• Deliver dependable, high-performance back-end services and integrations.

• Work collaboratively across time zones and cultures, using English as the primary communication language.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core in production environments.

• Practical experience in developing back-end services using C#, ADO.NET, and SQL Server.

• Strong background in implementing and evolving SOAP and RESTful services, including versioning and adherence to best practices.

• In-depth understanding of ADO.NET, SQL Server, database design, and performance tuning.

• Proficient in XML serialization and deserialization.

• Solid understanding of software design patterns and engineering best practices.

• Experience in unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for ensuring service reliability.

• Strong communication skills in diverse, fast-paced environments.

• Advanced proficiency in English; all communications conducted in English.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of specification-driven development and agentic approaches to software engineering.

• Exposure to Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Demonstrated proactive ownership and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams.

• Flexibility in adapting to dynamic environments.
