Senior Mobile Developer Android/iOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a team of developers and engineers to reconstruct and enhance native Android and iOS applications.

• Provide comprehensive mobile features that encompass user experience, offline-first data management, API integrations, device functionalities, automated testing, and production-ready releases.

• Develop and sustain native features for Android and iOS with consistent behavior, user experience, and design aesthetics.

• Take the lead in Android redevelopment using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Play a role in iOS modernization utilizing Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, and RxSwift.

• Implement offline-first functionalities, including encrypted storage, mutation queues, background synchronization, retries, attachment uploads, and conflict resolution.

• Connect mobile apps with APIs for authentication, records, forms, workflows, files, and attachments.

• Collaborate with shared JavaScript business logic while troubleshooting issues spanning native and JavaScript environments.

• Integrate device capabilities such as camera, barcode scanning, location services, audio, biometrics, and document pickers.

• Create accessible experiences for phones and tablets using an established design framework.

• Develop unit, screenshot, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.

• Support continuous integration (CI), automated device testing, and mobile release pipelines.

• Utilize AI coding agents for investigation, planning, execution, testing, and code reviews.

• Construct and enhance agent harnesses, including repository instructions, tools, execution environments, permissions, and validation workflows.

• Critically review AI-generated modifications through code reviews, automated tests, emulator evaluations, and functional-parity validation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, particularly in mobile applications.

• Proficient Android development experience using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Material 3, coroutines, and Flow.

• Familiarity with Hilt, Retrofit, OkHttp, Room, SQLCipher, DataStore, and WorkManager.

• Experience with multi-module Gradle projects and unidirectional data-flow patterns such as MVI.

• Professional iOS development experience utilizing Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.

• Capability to operate within an existing RxSwift-based application.

• Experience with Realm, Keychain, or similar secure-storage technologies.

• Strong background in designing offline-first mobile applications.

• Experience in integrating REST APIs and native device functionalities.

• Ability to read and troubleshoot JavaScript utilized as shared mobile business logic.

• Experience in writing automated mobile tests.

• Familiarity with GitLab CI or similar CI/CD tools.

• Experience with Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, or analogous device-testing platforms.

• Professional proficiency in using AI coding agents and validating their outputs.

• Understanding of agent harness engineering, including context preparation, instructions, tooling, safeguards, and feedback loops.

• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
