Senior Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain sophisticated Android applications utilizing Kotlin/Java and contemporary Android frameworks.

• Collaborate with product managers and backend developers to establish, design, and integrate robust APIs.

• Take full ownership of features, overseeing everything from technical design and development to testing and deployment.

• Perform code reviews and promote best practices in terms of performance, security, and maintainability.

• Investigate new Android technologies and contribute to enhancements in architecture.

• Develop and maintain mobile applications, including Edison Mail.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant working experience.

• More than 5 years of practical experience in Android development.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin and Java programming languages.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Solid foundations in computer science principles.

• Comprehensive understanding of Android fundamentals, such as Jetpack components, multithreading, networking, memory management, and data storage.

• Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or VIPER.

• Skills in performance optimization, crash analysis, and tuning power usage.

• Experience with libraries and tools like Volley, Glide, Lottie, and Firebase, including FCM.

• Experience with the Google Play submission and review process is a plus.

• Exposure to email protocols like SMTP and IMAP is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Linux environments or backend services is beneficial.

• Experience with hybrid development using React Native is a plus.
