Senior Meditech HIM Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Act as the lead analyst for MEDITECH Health Information Management applications, encompassing design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and optimization.

• Evaluate, document, and support HIM workflows to ensure compliant management of patient health information.

• Set up and maintain MEDITECH HIM dictionaries, parameters, rules, forms, templates, and security configurations.

• Work in collaboration with HIM leadership and end users to identify requirements and develop effective system solutions.

• Direct the requirements gathering process, solution design, testing, training, implementation, and post-go-live support.

• Troubleshoot applications, conduct root cause analysis, resolve issues, and coordinate with vendors as needed.

• Create and execute test plans, test scripts, and validation activities for upgrades, patches, and system modifications.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, CMS requirements, state regulations, and organizational policies.

• Assist with electronic document management, scanning workflows, chart completion, deficiency management, release of information, and record retention processes.

• Monitor application performance and pinpoint opportunities for workflow improvement, automation, and standardization.

• Participate in MEDITECH upgrades, migrations, conversions, and the implementation of new modules.

• Provide advanced support for interfaces and integrated systems that impact HIM operations.

• Develop application documentation, workflow diagrams, support procedures, and knowledge base articles.

• Lead user training sessions and mentor analysts, super users, and operational staff.

• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Clinical Informatics, Compliance, Privacy, IT Infrastructure, and vendors.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for MEDITECH HIM applications and healthcare information management processes.

• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience with Meditech.

• Proficient in business mathematical skills, including rates, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.

• Advanced computer skills, encompassing email and complex documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.

• Moderately complex oral and written communication skills are required.

• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA.

• Familiarity with Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

• Ability to analyze diverse and complex business challenges.

• Capacity to work independently with broad guidance.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

• Maintain any required licensure, certification, and professional credentials, if applicable, in good standing.
