This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Act as the primary Medical Staff Office liaison for the local Chief Medical Officer, local medical staff leadership, committees, sections, and departments.
• Provide resources from the Medical Staff Office to ensure continuity in medical staff organization activities.
• Engage in various hospital committees as deemed appropriate.
• Oversee all responsibilities related to the local medical staff office.
• Collaborate closely with the system credentialing office on initial appointments and provider reappointments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, including at least 1 year in medical staff and/or credentialing roles.
• Certification or eligibility for Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM) and/or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) within the certification eligibility timeframe.
• Strong capability to work both independently and collaboratively with peers and medical staff leaders/members.
• Proven knowledge of Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards relevant to Medical Staff Services is preferred.
