Senior Medical Sciences Liaison – Mid Atlantic Region (WV, DC, MD, VA, NC, SC, TN, KY, GA)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Serve as a field-based medical expert supporting AQST's therapeutic areas, programs, and approved products.

• Foster scientific and medical relationships with key members of the healthcare community.

• Educate both external and internal stakeholders regarding the safe and appropriate use of products.

• Generate and utilize scientific and medical knowledge to further company initiatives.

• Report directly to the Field Director of Medical Affairs while operating independently from the Commercial team.

• Cultivate and maintain scientific and medical expertise in designated therapeutic areas and disease states.

• Identify, develop, and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in academic and community environments.

• Analyze and communicate balanced, factual scientific, clinical, and health economic information.

• Lead the identification, cultivation, and integration of KOL insights and contributions.

• Identify opportunities for medical contributions that support or enhance programs and therapies.

• Gather and assess new information related to AQST products and therapeutic interests.

• Provide project support in alignment with established objectives.

• Assist with unsolicited medical information requests.

• Support Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and investigator-initiated research efforts.

• Manage relationships with priority KOLs in the designated Mid-Atlantic geographic region.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral-level degree in a medical and/or scientific discipline is required (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, DNP, or equivalent).

• A degree in a relevant medical and/or scientific field combined with strong related experience may be considered.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a relevant role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or in healthcare, is required.

• Experience in allergy/immunology is highly preferred.

• Pediatric experience is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel as necessary.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships.

• Capability to organize, prioritize, work effectively, and function independently in a dynamic field-based setting.

• Strong presentation and writing abilities.

• Results-driven and self-motivated.

• The final candidate must successfully complete a drug test and background check prior to starting employment.
